Merry Christmas! Happy Holiday!

As I curl up this evening with a glass of wine and a good book, I think about today, and what it is to have great friends. I woke up this morning, to my house having 4 dogs. Oliver and Mya of course! And then Barkely my foster baby, and Sashi my dad's beautiful Australian Shepard Huskie mix. We went for a long walk (which was quite the site I'm sure as I took all 4 at once) and came home to open puppy gifts. Every baby got a new chew toy with a squeaker and all were happy in my house. I then met a few friends for brunch and mimosas. We exchanged gifts and everyone gave green presents!! You saw very little gift wrap, mostly reusable bags, and gifts that would help the environment in one way or another to add to our daily life. We saw Marley and Me, a great movie for all dog lovers. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater!! Came home and proceeded to take naps. I'm now sitting with my 4 babies and am thankful for all the friends I have (2 and 4 legged) I hope everyone enjoys today, and spends it with ones they love. To all my friends and family I love you. Happy Holidays!!

Can One Person Really Make A Difference?

I've been thinking a lot about my 2009 New Years Resolution. I wanted it to be a good one. Something a little better than staying in shape and eating healthier. (not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm thinking bigger) While working today on South Beach I went into Kenneth Cole and bought a book. It's truly inspired me, even though I've only read 10 pages as of right now. I've launched a new blog Can One Person Really Make A Difference I hope from time to time you will check it out and see how things are going. Gonna be an interesting project. I'm excited to see what I can accomplish and really see if I can rise to the occasion. What is your New Years Resolution??

Welcome Burkley!

Introducing the newest addition to Compassionate Pug Rescue and my house Burkley. So far what we know is he's 2 1/2 years old. He came from a puppy mill over on the West Coast of Florida. In his short time here with me, he's received a bath and been introduced to Oliver and Mya. If you have a place in your heart for this little guy, or any of our other available pugs please contact us.

Today the Broward County Pug Meet UP met at Dogstown University to celebrate the 20th Birthday of the Pug Club. There was a doggie cake for all to enjoy. Not to mention a beautiful facility to hang out in. It's a great doggy day care, boarding location, and training campus. With bone shaped pools and all!!

Broward Animal Control Stops By

I've recently had a few visits from some opossums in my back yard. Since I have the dogs I didn't think it was a good idea for them to take up residence. So I found someone who would trap and relocate my new visitors safely. We set up 2 traps and can you believe caught 2 opossums in 1 night! (I only knew of one) They were picked up this morning and will have a new safe place to live not too close to a residential area. If you need help with wildlife and want them taken care of in a humane way please contact Broward County Animal Control

Deck the Halls!

It's that time of year to break out your holiday spirit, deck the halls and spend time with friends. This will be Mya's first Christmas here with Oliver and I. She was very interested in the tree as I was putting it up. And I think it's her new hangout spot!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was spent with great friends and amazing food. Not to mention a beautiful sunset. The bottom 2 pics are from KT Merry.

Cruise Anyone?!?!

Today I'm off for a 2 week cruise line shoot. They're launching a new ship and we are going to photograph it for their brochures. So I won't be blogging while I'm gone, but I will make sure to take some notes so when I return I can update you!!

Rock The Vote!

As we all know how important it is this year more than ever. I went out to the polls, was there at 7am on the dot. I waited 2 hours 20 minutes to cast my vote. This was the first year I've ever voted, and must admit I was honored to do so. Our country needs a change. It doesn't matter to me who you vote for, I just hope you go out and vote.

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween this year. I was Raggedy Anne.

Technical Difficulties

As many of you know first hand what it's like to have dogs chew thru your belongings, I've experienced that this week. Mya ate my card reader!! She came bouncing into the room the other day throwing this piece of plastic up in the air, playing very content. Well much to my disappointment it was my card reader!!

CPR's First Ever Benefit

Compassionate Pug Rescue had our first ever benefit this past week. We had our event at America's Backyard in Ft. Lauderdale. We had great items up for silent auction and also had a Chinese Auction, which helped us raise almost $5,000 all to benefit the pugs! Not to mention having a great night out with some animal lovers. KT and Safaa came out to support!! A very big thank you to everyone who donated items to us, as we couldn't have done it without your support.

Heart Gallery of Broward County

I volunteer my photography services to the Heart Gallery of Broward County. We photograph children who need to be adopted. They honored us this past week. A nice small reception, and we were given pics to say thanks. It's a great organization, where everyone is there for the best interest of the child.

A Slice of the Action

Carl Pascuzzi and Jonathan Stein collaborated for an exciting gallery exhibit. Hard Core Gallery featured these two artists who made the gallery into a life sized cake, that made you want to eat the celebrities up.

Pilates Please.....

I recently did a shoot for a Pilates Studio in Ft. Lauderdale. Talk about a workout!! My abs haven't worked that hard in a long time. But it was a good burn. Your body knows its working!! If you want to train at this studio let me know and I will introduce you to the instructor. Their website is coming soon.

Rock On Erin!

Another sexy boudoir session!! Erin you rocked out!

Nya gets adopted!!

The precious baby girl Nya was adopted yesterday, by me!! I've officially become a foster failure. But I must admit this is one thing I don't mind failing. She won me over with those big brown eyes, and I couldn't bare to let her go anywhere else.

Busy with the Rescue!!

As you can see here we have many pugs in the rescue at the moment. I was at the vet with 5 of our precious babies who are all in need of a loving home. Don't worry I'm not fostering all of them!! Even though you know I would if I could!! We have many volunteers with great foster homes but can always use additional support. If you have room in your heart to foster, adopt or donate please go to the website CompassionatePugRescue

Welcome Mimi!!

Here is the newest addition to Compassionate Pug Rescue, and my house. Mimi is my newest foster baby. She was attacked by another dog, but is healing nicely. We expect a full recovery. Now she's hangin out with Oliver and Nya, learning how to be a dog.

Welcome Nya!!

Introducing the newest addition to my house, and Compassionate Pug Rescue. Miss Nya!! She comes to us in major need of some TLC. Undergoing massive surgery on Friday to remove unborn stillborn puppies, it was touch and go for a while. But she made it thru the hardest part, and is now recovering in my home. Many of you know I'm a foster home for CPR, and I help rehabilitate these little ones, helping socialize and love the ones in need, until they're adopted into their forever home. If you have room in your heart to foster, adopt or donate to our organization please contact us, as every little bit helps.

Ladies with a Lens

Last night I met with some very powerful women in Photography. We get together once a month to talk shop, and support each other in our business. We have Katie, KT, Me, Tabatha, and Safaa.

Oliver & Minnie

I know Minnie was just adopted, but I wanted to share a recent pic of Oliver with Minnie. I miss the little one, but she's in a great home, getting spoiled already.
